If home is where your heart is, we have homes all over the place. As I sit in 70° sunny California on a February day, I am reminded how much I really enjoy the weather here. I also remember friends, family, work and church and I smile. We have been so blessed through the years to live in the north, south, east and west. We have loved each place and the people that have been part of our lives. In the last 4 months we have visited many of these places and in each location I smile. Each area has its local customs, attractions and foods. I smile knowing we truly have been blessed to have great friends and family around the country.
Traveling has had its challenges-- no routines-the only constant is the constant changes, sleeping in so many different beds, way too much fast food, way too many hours in the car, saying goodbye after renewing relationships... too many goodbyes. Next month we begin the long journey back to Chile. We are looking forward to seeing Chilean and Mapuche friends and the work that awaits us. We are looking forward to going home and …I smile.
