We are just starting to get some reports back of how things went while we were gone.
- The new Discovery Bible Study (DBS) that started in the valley of Coicoi is still continuing and the people are maturing.
- A third group, involving the local medical person, is very interested in start a Discovery Bible Study
- The men's prison system has dwindled to 4 persons but Pastor Daniel tells me they are on fire for God. Pastor also mentioned that 2 of these inmates will be transfered to a different prison in Vilcun and they want us to help them establish a Discovery Bible Study in this location.
- Pastor Daniel and Magdalena who are involved in the CoiCoi bible study have started working with a new community called Nghuentue which has more than 70 Mapuche families.
- A pastor in Puerto Saavedra has been watching the work happening in Coicoi and wants to use the DBS among his people.
I am not sure what all this means at this time but this I do know, God is on the move. Please pray that we can be obedient to His directing.
This last week, I visited CoiCoi with Pastor Daniel San Martin and the two ladies, Magdelina and Adriana, who are guiding the Discovery Bible Study (DBS). We visited several houses and found that many of the women had heard good reports about the DBS and were interested in participating. As it stands now, we have 3 groups of 5 instead of 1 group of 7. The strategy is working, local leaders are being trained and more people are being discipled. How exciting!!! Continue to pray for these women DBS in CoiCoi. Also, we are looking to start a men's DBS in CoiCoi but we are still looking for a male leader to guide the group. Please pray that we can find a local male leader whom we can train to guide this group in CoiCoi.
